Most car finance lenders do need you to have a full UK or EU driving licence. That being said you can still obtain a finance agreement without having a driver’s licence. At Socialmotors we have options available for people who have provisional driving licences and even no licence at all.
Alot of lenders in the UK look at having a full UK licence as a basic requirement when applying for a car finance agreement. To prove you have a licence you are usually asked to provide evidence of this, your licence will also be used to verify your identity.
If you do not hold a full current driving licence, it is likely to be more important than ever that you have a fair credit record and a reasonable deposit to put down as a down payment.
There is lenders in the UK who may be willing to offer a finance package to people without a licence. When applying for finance on a car without a driving licence you need to be able to provide alternative identification, this needs to be photo ID such as a passport.
